Savings from great deals: $23
- Before going on vacation with my family, I scouted out a great deal from Restaurant.com. We bought a $25 gift certificate for only $2 for a great little restaurant near our campsite. This deal is still good TODAY only. Go here for more details.
Savings from cutting costs: $200
- As I mentioned above, my family opted to go camping for our family vacation this year. This is definitely a change for us. We LOVE family vacation and have splurged in year’s past by going to the beach or nice hotels. The past couple of years have been a little different since money is tight for many of us. So we opted for camping to save some cash. Vacation with my family is always fun and memorable and it really doesn’t matter where we are. (Although we all agreed that camping may not happen again for us. We don’t do torrential rain.)
I have to share one fun tid-bit from our family vacation, however. My nephews, niece, sister, brother, and his girlfriend worked very hard to learn the dance moves to Thriller before vacation and then wowed us with a show. My sister caught it on video. You can watch it here. I’ll admit, I wanted to join in!
TOTAL SAVINGS:$321.33
TOTAL SAVINGS THIS YEAR: $2691.19
