 I was pretty sure it must be Christmas the other day when the UPS man showed up at my house with a box full of these:

Yep.  The folks at Duncan Hines made my day be sending me a package of their new Cupcake and Muffin Mixes.  I am a big fan of keeping things SIMPLE and YUMMY in the kitchen.  And Duncan Hines definitely fits that bill.

So, the BIG question was, “Which to try first?!”  Griffin and I discussed our options and finally came to a consensus: Triple Chocolate Chunk Muffins.  PLUS the box says that they are whole grain–that has to be good, right?  Could it get any better than that?

So we got to work:

Apparently, Big Brother decided Lincoln needed a taste of his gourmet cooking.  Lincoln was glad to help.

Finally the muffins were popped in the oven.  Once they were done, Griffin and I shared one.  We put on our Food Critic Hats and discussed our unbiased opinions about the taste, texture, and consistency of this product and came to a decision.

These muffins are YUMMY!! 

(I may or may not have had more once Griffin went down for his nap–ahem!)

    I have always loved Duncan Hines products and used them for years…in fact, I purchased a box of white cake mix just the other day to make Heavenly Cake [and it IS!]. Their brownies are also divine!!

    Ohh, Candyshop Peanut Butter Cup Brownie Mix with a cup of coffee!!!! I would be blessed. But now, maybe just the thought will drive me to go whip up something with chocolate and peanut butter by myself . . . . boo hoo…

    No matter what kind of cake mix I buy, I always come back to Duncan Hines.
    They are the BEST!
    I also really love their muffin mixes and brownies.
    Depends on my mood, but I guess I’d go for the cake mix.
