Well now, I’ve been a busy little bee today adding codes to all of my rewards programs.

I was reminded of Accumul8 Rewards, the Eight O’Clock Coffee Rewards Program when I got this e-mail from them today:

Thank you for your participation in the Accumul8 Rewards program and your loyalty to Eight O’Clock® Coffee.

We’ve sincerely enjoyed having you on board as a loyal Accumul8 Rewards member and we want to remind you that this program will be ending on December 31, 2009.

As one of our most loyal consumers, you will be among the first to know when details of our 2010 plans are released. In the months ahead, we will send you an email announcing our exciting upcoming programs.

Hmmm…I’m not sure how I feel about this.  I guess I’ll have to tell you after they reveal their ‘exciting upcoming programs.’

However, I did go cash out all of my codes today.  I figure everybody will be doing so soon and the good rewards may go quickly!

I bought a lot of 8 O’Clock coffee to get points and some day get free bag. Now KC said it was easy to cheat? I still have 5 bags to enter but forgot my password and just now found it. When I think of all the time I spent (and Money…down the drain) and I could have never could have won anything. What’s going on here?

      Hi, Beth!

That is unfortunate! Have you tried to contact Eight O’Clock coffee directly about this? I would suggest doing so through their web-site here: http://eightoclock.com/ Maybe they will be able to help you out!

I love Eight O’clock. It’s the only coffee I stock into my home. I am VERY disappointed the Rewards program ended. Also, not very happy to hear the comments that the program was not satisfying. I lost all my points. : (

The only reward that interested us was the free bag of coffee coupon with mug. Several months ago, Eight O’Clock conducted a survey asking for reward program suggestions. After the survey, the mug offer was replaced by some discount tea coupons, and the points required for the free bag coupon (now with tea coupons) jumped from 700 to 800. I can’t believe anyone in the survey suggested, “Give us less value for more points!”

I just wanted to say that the only one fraudulent in my case was the company! I do drink a lot of coffee, esp. 8 O’Clock since it’s the cheapest whole bean and I grind my own. I always hit a “limit” with my codes and can’t enter any more. Now I’ve hit my limit for the year! I ordered a $25 Visa card but never received it, I received another mug instead. I emailed the company and they said too bad they sent it. I don’t think that was the appropriate answer, since if they didn’t mess up the order how did I receive a mug and coupon that I didn’t order? I am very disappointed with the program and feel that I’ve been tricked.

I liked the program, but I think they found it to be too generous and prone to fraud (you don’t have to prove you bought the coffee after all). You didn’t even have to buy a whole lot of coffee before getting a coupon for a free bag.
