Did you know that Target does price matching now? You simply need to bring in the full ad from another store with a lower price item.
This fact may come in very handy tomorrow when Toys R Us is having a Doorbuster Sale. One of the items included in this sale is Leapfrog’s Alphabet Pal. It will be on sale for $10.49.
Take the Toys R Us sales circular for this two-day sale (should be in tomorrow’s paper or you can stop by the store and grab one) to Target and have it price matched PLUS use the Target Toy coupon for $10 off one you should be able to snag one for $.49!
You need to remember to shop during the same hours of the sale (Friday 3 pm-12 am, and Sat 7 am-1 pm) and bring the entire circular with you to the Guest Service desk.
Target’s policy is to accept a coupon with a price-matched item. However, you may want to print this e-mail that was sent to the moderator of the Hot Coupon World Target Forum just in case.
Please let me know if this deal works for you. It’s another one of those deals that feels too good to be true!
Thanks, Mojo Savings!

Worked for me (except that I forgot my coupon and had to go home and get it). Went right to customer service, no questions asked. Paid .53. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the tip – got mine for .54.

I gave a friend of mine a copy of Toys R Us Ad and a Target coupon and she didn’t have any problems. My sister and I were going to a different Target and not only would they absolutely Not match the price, they were really rude about it. I did show him the policy and he showed me a “policy” that stated they don’t honor “timed sales”. I then went to the same Target my friend had gone to earlier and they wouldn’t match it either. (They were more polite about it though.) I wrote a letter to Target corporate last night and told the that if this is their policy, it should be clearly stated for their price matching customers to see as this seemed like a policy of convenience at the time and upon reading their policy online, I didn’t find a single word about this policy. I don’t know if corporate will make it right, or if they’ll just “file my complaint” lol but you guys should email them as it is each one of us customers that make Target a success…I don’t know about you guys, but I do a ton of shopping at Target. On a good note, I did get y Monsters Inc and Up for super cheap ;o) And I love this web site btw!!! Happy shopping everyone!!

I tried tonight, but my store said they do not price match doorbusters or timed sales. The mngr. pulled out a copy of their policy and showed me that part. I told him I had “friends” all over who were doing it at other Target’s but her wouldn’t budge.

I tried it, and ours refused to do it. I did not have a copy of the policy on hand, so I will have to try back.

My Target would not allow me to price match. They said that if the ad has a percentage off on it they do not price match. The ad says 50% off. I showed her that it also had the price but she didn’t budge. She said that it is their policy not to price match any ads with percentages off.

Karen,
Mercedes at Common Sense with Money has a list of the items that Target’s Price Match policy here: http://www.commonsensewithmoney.com/2009/11/targets-price-match-policy-price-promise-facts/ I see nothing about percentage off products. Not sure if you want to try again, though!

I understand donating an extra toy and also cashing in on a great deal but when people start getting 20 packs of baby wipes at once it makes it very hard for anyone else to get these great deals. This is just excessive I have an 18 month old and need wipes as well but thats just being greedy.

Went and got 3 at mine! Interesting though that the guy who helped me in the toy dept told me they were not matching door buster ads but that I could go try. I went to customer service and they didn’t say a word about it. Also Anna I don’t know why they didn’t do all of your coupons. My Target said I could do as many as I wanted there are no limits. Some times I think individual employees try to institute their own “personal” limits of what seems to make sense to them. I’m really wondering how long Target is going to do this but as long as they do I’m cashing in! Oh and I went and got 20 packs of the toddler wipes! Thanks Kailey!!

Hi — I just gave it a try. It was a BIG production, as the registers should be able to do this, but it took customer service to make it work. And, oddly, they only took 3 coupons for the 4 toys I puchased. Still, no complaints. I paid about $12 for 4 really nice toys, one to give and three to donate. If you do this, don’t be in a rush!!
