Have you guys heard of the latest thing called House Parties? They are thousands of parties across the country that are sponsored by a leading brand. You can apply to hold a variety of them right now and receive some great products to share with your guests.
On a whim a few weeks back, I decided to apply to hold a DiGiorno Game Day House Party. I figured we like having people over, we like football, and we love pizza…so why not?!

Now promise you’ll let me know if you get accepted as a host for one of these parties, ok? Oh…and I want to see pics!

Okay, that sounds fine. I was a little surprised by the wording. I wouldn’t say no to photos, but I wouldn’t want to promise without kind of running it past the guests. I wouldn’t expect trouble, but, you know, it seems reasonable that someone having a bad hair day or whatever wouldn’t want that go out to the world.
Thanks.

I won also! It’ll be interesting to see how it turns out as it’s my first one!!! We are so excited! I also don’t think we are obligated to upload photos…haven’t decided if I will or not yet 🙂

Hey, Anna!
While that does sound a little scary (I don’t know why they had to word it that way!), I have yet to upload a picture anywhere and don’t intend to do so. As far as I know there is no obligation to upload a picture (thus the line–but not any obligation).
Sounds like they are trying to cover themselves in case someone thinks they should receive a royalty payment if their picture is used on the site.

Hi — I applied for one and did the forms then got cold feet. That last page looks scary, where you appear to sign away rights to use your photo and that of your children and other family members. What do you think about that?
It’s this line:
unrestricted, absolute, universal, perpetual, irrevocable, non-royalty bearing, and transferable right and license (but not any obligation) to use, copy, transmit, distribute, display, modify, perform, present, publish, transform, create works and derivative works, and otherwise promote or utilize my name, image, likeness, voice, words and/or other personal attribute(s) or other personal information, and those of my children and minors for whom I am a legal guardian …
It makes me a little nervous, so I’d love your thoughts.
