Drum Roll Please.
It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for.
(Ok–maybe you haven’t been waiting for it, but I have!)
I’ve been busy tabulating and calculating and using my highly scientific method of record keeping (a.k.a. pencil and paper), and I now have my new February totals for Saving on a Shoestring (otherwise known as Project Cruise 2012) AND my Cha-Ching! Christmas Club savings.
I have set a goal amount of money to save for each category, so I will share the percentage saved for each one.
Here we go:
Project Cruise 2012: We are at 7%, Ladies and Gents! Only 93 % to go!
Cha-Ching! Christmas Club: I am at 11%! (This is from two rebates, 2 Pinecone surveys, Swag Bucks, and MyPoints. I am working on sharing some info on some other ‘free money’ sites with you soon!)
It is really encouraging to see how far we have come and how all this saving is actually working toward some really fun goals. If you haven’t joined up with this monthly update, you are welcome to at any time!
*****
How about you? Have you been saving and scrimping toward a reward or are you a part of the Cha-Ching! Christmas Club? Then leave a comment or a link below sharing your savings update. And then PLEASE encourage each other by leaving comments here or on the blogs listed. If we work on this together, it will be so much more fun!
AND just to add to all the fun going on around here, I will give a $5 Amazon gift code to one person who leaves a direct link to their savings post or a comment sharing an update on their savings. (I figure it’s just one more way to help you save on that shoestring!)
The giveaway will end tomorrow, March 2 at 10 p.m. EST. I’ll use Random.org to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email and listed on this site.

My amazon money from swagbucks is up to $25.00. I am thrilled with my monthly grocery savings. I lowered my grocery spending by 40% for January and February. That is very exciting. It really helps to see it on a spreadsheet.

My Christmas fund is at $55.o0 for Amazon from Swagbucks, 2000 My Points and 3500 points in my FreeRide FreeMail (which I can also exchange for Amazon gift cards). Hopefully will be able to add my survey money soon, but that is going to paying off the credit cards.

Very fun! It’s always rewarding saving money for something special. We’re saving for our wedding and buying a house…

Love your site! I transfer all of the money from coupon savings and put it toward our credit card.

We are currently saving for our cruise in November. Our goal this month is to eat out 75% less and save that money. Hopefully it will be easier to avoid the temptation of eating out by thinking about how much fun we will have on vacation!
