I promised a Saving on a Shoestring update today and I’m going to be a girl of my word even if the day is almost over!
I used my handy dandy new Cha-Ching Christmas Clug Savings Tracker and love it! (I didn’t even have to use a calculator!) Remember that you can download your own copy (click on ‘File’ and then ‘Download’) and then make it all your own.
So, here’s the scoop:
Project Cruise 2012: We are up to 8%!
Cha-Ching! Christmas Club: I am at 31%! (This is from rebates, Pinecone surveys, Swag Bucks, and MyPoints.)

How about you? Have you been saving and scrimping toward a reward or are you a part of the Cha-Ching! Christmas Club? Then leave a comment or a link below sharing your savings update. And then PLEASE encourage each other by leaving comments here or on the blogs listed. If we work on this together, it will be so much more fun!
AND just to add to all the fun going on around here, I will give a $5 Amazon gift code to one person who leaves a direct link to their savings post or a comment sharing an update on their savings. (I figure it’s just one more way to help you save on that shoestring!)
The giveaway will end April 3 at 10 a.m. EST. I’ll use Random.org to select the winning comment or link. Winner will be notified by email and listed on this site.
Note: If you have a blog, here is the HTML code for the Saving on a Shoestring button above:

^^^ That is amazing!!! WOW!
We’ve saved around $1200 this year toward a kitchen remodel. Last month was a total wash, we had some unexpected medical bills come up that brought us up and over our monthly budget. We try to live off of my husband’s income alone, but last month we tapped into mine and then some! Yikes!
April is looking promising. I’d say that we’re about 10% along?! (Optimistically, there’s always stuff that “comes up”, huh?)

I have been really busy this month but was still able to squeeze out an extra $150.00 or so from coupons for the month. DH and I are going to Vegas this summer for a conference so every penny helps stock my Vegas fund.

We saved $780 in groceries in March along. (This is just the bottom line savings shown on the receipts for our purchases.) And I am not kidding. $780 saved!!!!
We are stocked up with most everything. Probably spent $75 for a family of 5.

Most stuff was free with double coupons or club card combos with coupons. Even my gluten-free oldest daughter’s not complaining!
