I’ve always liked the thought of groceries delivered to my door, haven’t you? So I was excited when I was recently offered the opportunity to try out Genuardi’s Home Delivery program. Unfortunately, I am outside of their delivery area, but I passed the offer along to my sister-in-law and asked if she’d be willing to share how she felt about the experience with my readers.
Here are a few pros and cons that she shared:
PROS:
Allows for a variety of shopping methods- express list, aisle, categories
Items can be sorted – what’s on sale, price
Home delivery
CONS:
Often difficult to navigate
Can not shop directly from weekly circular
Some produce is much more expensive
Delivery = two hour window- restrictive
NO COUPONS!!!!
Edited to add: You can imagine how I felt when I heard that there was no way to use coupons. While there are certain special online promotions, we all know that coupons are the key to scoring items at the cheapest possible prices.
Summary- this may be helpful for people who do not have a car, have limited mobility, or even new moms! Large , heavy items can be purchased and delivered right to one’s doorstep, but the high cost of fresh produce and the inability to use COUPONS makes this option impractical for regular use.
