Did you Buy Fandango Tickets from a Group Buy Site?

Julia from The Frugal Find sent me an email letting me know that the Weekly Cinema offer from Groupon has been changed.  You now need to email or call in to claim your code to use on Fandango. If you purchased the offer, I recommend checking out her post giving all the details.

I’m disappointed in The Weekly Cinema.  This seems like a bait and switch offer for sure.  I am grateful that Groupon will allow us to return our tickets if we decide to, but they aren’t the ones to blame.

If you decide to keep your tickets, just be sure to give yourself plenty of time to hear back from them by email or phone!

I emailed them asking them to send all 8 codes at once. They don’t expire until February, which was how long we had to use them anyway, so this way if I want to use them suddenly I don’t have to call or email Weekly Cinema each time.

So they emailed you back with the codes, Ana?

Wow! That makes me really upset! I bought mine off of Tippr and unfortunately it was more than 30 days ago so I don’t think I can get a refund. I hate it when companies pull things like this.

I know. I’m very unimpressed. The good news is that you still can redeem them…it just might take longer than you expected.

I purchased some as well. I’d consider returning them, but I’m not sure if Groupon is the one that takes the hit for that.

Welcome
