I always hated my Birthday until a couple of years ago. Maybe it’s the disappointments of childhood and never having that one great party or maybe it is just because I hate the focus being on me. So a couple of years ago when my friend invited me away for my Birthday weekend and we went to the Hershey Outlets – I found happiness. Shopping for others and good deals! Since my Birthday is on Veteran’s Day, I normally have the day off of work. This year I will be shopping again and smiling. What good savings will I find?

My favorite birthday memory is my 9th birthday when I celebrated both my birthday and my First Communion. My Grandmother bought me my dress which was absolutely stunning.

My favorite bday memory is last year’s bday. My honey and I had drove to Vegas to celebrate and then get married. It was so much fun, I had never been there since I was 21. I was able to get as many drinks as I wanted & got to play roulette for over 5 hours, for under $100. It was so awesome.

My favorite birthday memory was getting to choose my favorite cake (whatever it happen to be at the time) and my mom would make it for me. Two of my all time favorites were Mission Sunday Fudge Cake and Boston Cream Pie. My mom is 86 now and if I asked, she would still make me my favorite cake.

My best birthday memory is the general way in which my mom always celebrated my birthday. She’d put all my presents out while I was sleeping (like Christmas!) and I’d come downstairs in the morning and just stare at them since I couldn’t open them until my parents woke up and came down. Then I’d get to choose whatever I wanted for dinner that night, it was always such a treat!
