My sweet husband gave me a personal day – breakfast, he did the chores and I got to relax. It wasn’t a day filled with “stuff” but it was very special to me.

A favorite birthday memory for me: a few years ago, my little kids and husband chased me out of the kitchen and cooked up a storm, with an awesome meal and a beautiful cake! I got to put my feet up and read magazines and relax. It was wonderful!

This year for my birthday my husband surprised me with a night away at a fancy hotel in the city, not very frugal but it was so nice and special! He set up overnight babysitting even! Was the best b-day I have had in a long time!

My favorite birthday memory was when I turned 11, my Godfather taped a hundred dollar bill to the back of my card. When I opened the card I thought he forgot- he usually gave me a twenty. My Mom got a picture of it, not one of my best looks but it was a special moment I will not forget.

My favorite birthday memory is my daughter’s sixth birthday party – I did a Candyland party – it was really a lot of fun!! We read the entire story of Candyland (who knew there was a story?), and had candy stations according to the stations on the game board. The cake was a replica of the game board. So much fun to research and plan this party – and my daughter LOVED it!!

Favorite birthday memory……… My son was graduating college on May 19th. My birthday was may 18th… so i “thought” that my day would go unnoticed.. and we would focus on my sons college graduation,, Well to my surprise,, MY husband and family planned a big surprise party @ my house without me knowing it,, I went out to get some last minute stuff fo his 9 a,m, ceremony,,, came home to a houseful of family and friends… needless to say i was a MESS my hair in a ponytail on top of my head… I was shocked ,, laughed , cried ,and pulled the pony tail out… my husband said our son is graduating , YOU have nothing to do tomorrow but sit there and be proud! tonight is all about you!,, well around midnight i was hinting for people to leave,,, but they wouldn’t .BECAUSE there was another surprise.. MY sister flew in from St.Louis and her plane was delayed… Finally she arrived… i could not believe they did this for me!… The party ended with me feeling so loved, and the next day I did sit there ,, being the proud MOM at my sons graduation!! Life is good… Thank you for leting me share this….
