Update: It looks like the $5/1 manufacturer’s coupon is no longer available, but there is a $3 coupon to help you score a great deal.  (Not sure if this Tag Reader is still available on clearance though.)

If you are heading out to Target, here is a HOT clearance deal to be on the look out for in your store.  Many people are reporting that they have found the Toy Story 3 Special Edition LeapFrog Tag Junior reading system on clearance for as low as $19.98! PLUS there is a Target coupon AND a manufacturer’s coupon available to get the price down to as low as $4.98!  Here’s how:

Toy Story 3 Special Edition LeapFrog Tag Jr., on clearance for $19.98
$10/1 Target coupon (click on the “Sporting Goods & Toy” category)
$5/1 manufacturer’s coupon
$3/1 manufacturer’s coupon (must login)
As low as $6.98 after coupons!

Keep in mind that this is a clearance deal, so may not be available in all stores.  You also may need to do a price check if this item isn’t marked.

Let me know if you find this deal in your store!

Thanks, QueenBee Coupons!

is the target coupon the $10 for tag reading system coupon? when you try to use the code online it doesn’t work with the tag junior, but some of you were able to get it to work in the store? and the link for the $5 leapfrog coupon isn’t working for me at all…is there a pdf of that or somewhere else to get it?
    Thank you!

Unfortunately, it looks like that $5 coupon is no longer available, Rachel. 🙁 I’ve updated the post with a $3/1 coupon though.

I had not heard that the code doesn’t work on the Tag Jr. I’ve heard that tt has worked in the store for most people.

I got mine two after searching to Targets. The ones I purchased were marked down to twenty seven something. After stacking my coupons, which I had to tell the cashier that she was allowed to do, the Readers came down to thirteen something. I still think thirteen dollars is a great deal. These will make great Christmas gifts!

MIne were in the endcaps in the sporting goods section (close to the toys), but the clearance price was still $27.xx… bummer!

I am wondering if they will be with the other tag books or in a separate clearance section.

    Thanks

Thanks fo the tip and reminder to get my bum in gear. Went over to Target tonight to find 2 unit s left. The were priced at ~$27. When I price checked, as you recommended, it was $19.99. I used both the $10 Target coupon ad $5 manufacturer coupons and got the Tag Jr. for ~$5. i went back later to by the remaining Toy Story 3 Tag Jr and a Toy Story Tag for ~$25 after using both coupons again. I love a great steal!!!

Thanks so much for passing this along.

Just wondering. The manufactures coupon is for the Tag Reading system where the Target discount is for the Tag Junior. Have you used this will they infact honor and will they honor both coupons on one item? I’ve never seen a store honor two coupons on the same item, so I’m just curious before I make the trip.
    Thanks for any insight.

Hi, Cath! Since the Tag Jr. is considered a Tag Reading System, that shouldn’t be a problem.

And while you can’t stack two manufacturer’s coupons, you can always stack a store coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon. I’ve done it at Target many times!
