Update: Olivia left a comment letting me know that she noticed that Ebates states that this offer is not available for gift subscriptions. I did some searching around on Ebates and discovered that indeed it does state that if you click through to the right page.
I’m a little frustrated with the offer because on the initial Netflix click-through page, there is no indication of this. I actually had to search to find the information on another page. If you purchased a gift subscription through Ebates and do not receive a credit in a few days, you may want to contact them and let them know that you assumed that you would receive the $8 credit because they are not clear in stating that gift subscriptions aren’t included. (Sign into Ebates and do a search for Netflix. There is no information on that page about this.) My hope is that they will be willing to work with you since I feel that this is an error on their part.
