Update: It looks like this offer has ended.
Update: From what I understand, those of you who had a credit in your account already can use the credit to bring the price down to $4. However, if you signed up today you will not be able to use your credit on this offer.
Right now, you can buy 2 Fandango movie tickets for only $9 from LivingSocial (another daily deals site like Groupon.).
To grab the offer, just sign in at LivingSocial, click “More Deals” on the left-hand side and choose “Philadelphia” or “Cleveland”. (There are several other cities with this offer today as well. You do not need to live in these cities to take advantage of this offer.)
Limit 1 per person. Make sure to read the details at the bottom of the offer on how to redeem your voucher.
Hurry and snag this offer fast before it’s gone!
Note: Since the limit is one per person, spouses and kids over the age of 18 can also take advantage of the offer.

I can’t seem to find the deal on livingsocial.com. I have an account and a previous $5 credit to use, but I have looked in Philadelphia and Cleveland and have checked current deals and past deals and don’t see it. I’ve also checked under Philadelphia Family Edition and don’t see it. Am I missing something?

Unfortunately, it looks like they pulled the offer early, Nicole. Thanks for the heads up–I updated the post.

I signed up using the link and it said that my credit card was only going to be charged $4. So it looks like your link worked for me. Good luck to everyone else!

I just checked my account and they took out $9. How can that be? You said the $5 would come off.
Also are we getting anything for referring our friens & family? I sent this to everyone I know.
kaleyehret says
Hi, Sally,
Unfortunately, I found out later in the day that LivingSocial is not letting people use the $5 credit on this offer. (Unless it was previously in your account).
If you want to return your purchase, you can do so. Just be sure to make your return within 5 days. (Although $9 is a pretty good deal too if you like to go the movies.)
I’m not sure if LivingSocial is giving credit for referrals. I would give them a call tomorrow if they don’t show up in your account.
Sorry for the confusion!

Thank you for the deals. My husband and I are missionaries in Honduras. When we return to the states for a month or so we like to do things with our grandchildren and this is a great savings for us. I am new to your site and love it. Sue
kaleyehret says
Thanks for sharing that, Sue. So glad to hear it!

I called LivingSocial this afternoon about the $5 “invite your friends” deal and they have purposely pulled it for this deal. She said they aren’t giving out $5 because of this already HOT deal, but that it will be back once the Fandango deal is over. Hope this helps.
kaleyehret says
Thanks for checking into that, Christy. It’s kind of a bummer, but I guess it’s a good deal anyway.
I guess those who signed up for LivingSocial previously can still use their $5 credit. And from what I understand, there will be a $5 credit tomorrow, but it can’t be used on today’s offer.

I didn’t get the $5 deal bucks for signing up through the link. I’m wondering if I did something wrong.
kaleyehret says
Hi, Sonya!
If you click on ‘Buy’, do the deal bucks show up then? They should come off your total price.
Margaret says
Will the voucher be in my email to print when ready?
kaleyehret says
Hi, Margaret! Yes, your voucher will show up in your account under ‘My Deals’.

Debbie,
If you’re going to a regal, their movie rewards club often has coupons on facebook and prints coupons when you use your card (you can even hook it up to fandango when you buy the tickets online)…. Sheri
