Welcome to the weekly Cha-Ching Challenge!
Did you find a HOT deal this week that you just want to share? You’ve come to the right place! Every week I post the Cha-Ching Challenge, sharing my savings for the week. Add a link to your post detailing your savings for the week OR your favorite deal of the week. I’ll choose one participating blog to highlight next week right here on Cha-Ching on a Shoestring.
Check out my savings for the week below:
Savings from coupons and store sales: $48.54
- Spent $84.72 at Landis and CVS. Saved $48.54.
Savings from ‘Free Money’: $40
- I took advantage of a Groupon for Picaboo about a year ago and finally used it to order my Christmas cards and a photo book for my son this week. (And yes…I did a little happy dance when I crossed Christmas cards off my list!)
Savings from cutting costs: $180
In many ways, my husband is a better deal finder than me. He proved that yet again this past week when he found two sweet deals on Craigslist. One was for a bunk bed for our boys for $100. (Regularly priced around $300.) The other was a train table for my son for $20. It’s in great condition and about $80 less than buying one new!
TOTAL SAVINGS:$268.54
TOTAL SAVINGS THIS YEAR: $3999.86

This was a good week for me. I got some Halloween deals at 90% off and 12 cans of Cambell’s gravy for FREE at Weis. I also love the storage ottomans that Target sells and they were 50% off for the black and brown ones. I normally wait for 75% before I snag anything from Target, but I didn’t think these would wait around that long. I bought 2, but Santa will be giving me one of them 🙂 I also made my Christmas savings goal for this year, so I’m going to increase my goal for next time.

I wish that my husband was good at finding deals, then I wouldn’t have to do all the shopping and errands myself. 🙂 Bunk beds are so much fun, our daughter has a bunk bed and thinks it’s the coolest thing ever.
