Target usually puts their toys on clearance during the last weeks in July. The 50% discounts typically begin showing up first and then on the last Wednesday or Thursday of the month of July, many people report finding toys as much as 75% off.
Some stores already have some clearance toys for 30% off, but be sure to keep your eyes open for bigger discounts soon. I was able to stock up on some nice birthday and Christmas presents at last year’s clearance for just a fraction of the cost.
You can always ask at your local store if they know what the schedule will be since it may vary from store to store. The hard-core clearance shoppers will likely show up bright and early on the day the clearance is scheduled to begin, so it pays to do your homework ahead of time.

I went in today and they were marking a few things down. We did score a few items 🙂 So not this week as I had thought. Hopefully next week they follow through with the traditional BIG drop.

I’m one of those hard core shoppers 😉 I head over with 6 kiddos during the day and then I follow up at night with a friend to by for my own kids. Even with the smaller selection at night, I still find lots of bargains. Historically, our local Targets (we are in the same area) hit 70% on the 3rd Thursday of July. Keep in mind some stores only peak at 70% not the 75% anymore 🙁
