It’s really disappointing that you’ve supported this on numerous days….have you read it or know what it’s about?

Beyond the pale in terms of human depravity….the kind of mindset that contributed to the Gosnell case and so many others in our culture.

I can see where you are coming from, Kimberly and I apologize that this was offensive to you. I actually feel like this book is a tale about what could happen to our society if we continue to de-value life as in the Gosnell case.

Kimberly, there is much to be learned from the books…similar to Lord of the Flies. The books definitely don’t glamorize what is going on (look at Haymitch and his miserable state). There’s an underlying feeling of “what has become of this world”. And there’s no happily ever after.

From what I read, the author has real-life experience of the loss that war and such can bring. It’s a story that raises much deeper questions about life, society and human nature.

Kaley, thanks for all you do!
