***
Sorry about being a No-Show for Week 8 of our Frugal Fun Challenge.
I have a good excuse, however. We were busy doing this:
Annual Family Olympics
And this:
Murder Mystery Theater (written by my nephews)
I’ve shared before that my family has an annual vacation that has turned into quite the epic event over the years. This year we calculated that this was our 13th vacation and we’ve added 9 new family members through the years.
I guess we may not be normal, but we sure do have a whole lot of fun!
This week has been pretty quiet around here. My oldest was at a full day sports camp all week and the rest of us have been trying to get our after-vacation groove back.
We did have a pretty big day yesterday, however. We celebrated this kid’s birthday:
He wasn’t excited at all.
I shared on Facebook that I’m going to squeeze him until next year so that he doesn’t get any bigger.
So that’s what we’ve been up to lately. How about you?

I love making a mini golf course for the kids with a putter, golf ball and red solo cups. Easy frugal fun! You can even add water hazards (I.e. a sprinkler)!

We enjoyed our local splash pad & water park often this summer. Splash pads are free & everywhere around our area & the water park is a community one & we would go on family day – cheap! Totally worth it & the kids have a blast – no need to spend the big bucks on the fancy Schmancy water parks :). Plus you do not
Feel like you have to spend 18 hours there to get your money’s worth & then be exhausted for the next week. Ah summer. Glad it’s almost over. Haha
