T-Mobile Coupon Code: $25 off Select Devices
I shared not too long ago that I recently signed up for the Walmart Family plan powered by T-Mobile. I was impressed by the pre-paid option, that offered unlimited data for just $40 per month. This was only $15 more a month than my texting plan with AT&T and I loved the idea that there were no limits on my data usage.
So far, I am very pleased with my plan. I’ve been impressed by the coverage, which was my biggest concern.
Here’s a picture I took with my phone of my husband and I celebrating our 12th anniversary with a getaway to our favorite little lake-side cottage out in the woods this weekend. I was happy to discover I still had service! (By the way, you can follow me on Instagram if you’d like!)
This was also my first experience with a smartphone (I know – Can you believe it? I am just not much of a bandwagon type of girl.) I knew it was time to make the leap when I realized how many money-saving apps are available now.
When I first made the switch to T-Mobile, I started with a Windows phone. I soon realized that a Windows phone is not compatible with many of the apps that I so often share about here. So within a couple of weeks, I made the switch to a Samsung phone instead and have quickly put it to use saving extra money on my shopping trips with various apps like Ibotta and Checkout 51.

Curious – why samsung and not the i-phone? And now that you have a smart phone would you go back to a basic phone? and the extra expense with a smart phone has it been a price shocker on the bill? I still have a basic phone and also thinking about upgrading. Your thoughts on the change.

Hi, Barb, I went with the Samsung because the version I bought was at a price point that I was looking for. The iPhone that was offered in the Walmart Family Plan was much more expensive and so far, I’ve been very pleased with what Samsung has to offer. Since it was only a $15 per month upgrade (and allows me to save money via several apps) I haven’t experienced too much shock. 🙂 I also like that there is not contract, so if it no longer fits in the budget, I can cancel at any time. I will likely stick with it, but I am only a few months in, so I will continue to assess as I go. Hope that helps!
