How Does Amazon’s Subscribe & Save Program Work?
If you’ve been around for long, you probably know that I often post about deals I find using Amazon’s Subscribe & Save program.
Looking for more details on this program? Here’s a breakdown in how it works:
What is Subscribe & Save?
Subscribe and Save is Amazon’s subscription service, available for most items in its grocery and household goods stores. It allows you to subscribe to certain products your family uses and have them shipped to you every 1, 2, 3 or 6 months.
What are the benefits of signing up with Subscribe & Save?
In addition to the benefit of automatic delivery (which you can cancel at any time), there is also a financial benefit to using S&S:
Amazon offers a 5% discount on all subscribed items. The savings increase if you have 5 or more Subscribe & Save items delivered in the same month. You save an additional 10% making your discount 15% off instead.
If you are a member of the Amazon Mom program, you’ll automatically receive a 20% discount on all diapers shipped through the Subscribe & Save program, regardless of the number of items delivered that month.
Plus, you get FREE shipping on your Subscribe & Save order.
How do you cancel your Subscribe & Save order?
Canceling your order is simple and there is no penalty.
If you’d like the discount, but do not want to continue your subscription, simply wait until you get an email from Amazon saying that your order has shipped before you cancel your subscription.
1. Go to Amazon.com and select Your Account – the link is in the top right corner, above your Cart.
2. Under the Options section, click on Manage Subscribe & Save Options. Then click “Cancel This Subscription”.
Important Note: Your price is not guaranteed to stay the same on future shipments. If you opt to remain subscribed, you will receive an email before your order ships so you can verify the price before paying.
