Savings from coupons and store sales: $84.68

I finally got out and tested the grocery shopping waters in my new town.  I hit the Giant, Target, and CVS.  Other than getting very lost on my way home from Target, things went well!

• Giant: Saved $20.89
• Target: Did this Special K deal twice.  Saved $29.33 and scored a free gallon of milk from the Pop Tarts deal.
• CVS:  My 22 cent shopping trip saved me $34.46!
   

Savings from cutting costs: $10

• We finally have been able to enjoy tomatoes and basil from our little garden!  Last night I made tomatoes and mozzarella with basil…YUM!  Sadly, we had to leave many of our plants when we moved, but we’ve been able to talk family into bringing some down as they come to visit. =)

TOTAL SAVINGS THIS YEAR: $2995.23

Shopping hasn’t happened much around here this week with the move taking place.  People have been so generous in providing us food and gift cards and help.  We feel very blessed!

I have saved a few dollars here and there this past week through ‘free money’, however.

Savings from ‘Free Money’: $22.00

• Wes and I made around $1.00 since I last posted about YouData–are you all checking your accounts?
• Made another $1 in my Upromise account.
• I used my Swag Bucks to snag a $20 Target.com gift card

I’m taking a break from sharing my savings for the Cha-Ching Challenge this week since we are packing up our truck TODAY for our big move.  (We are actually moving on Monday.)

Savings from coupons and store sales: $47.58

• CVS: Saved $3.96

• Target: Saved $18.62 (scored two FREE Air Wick i-motion starter kits for my new house!)

• ALDI: Saved $10

• Toys R Us: We saved $15 by signing Griffin up for their birthday club and getting a $3 coupon and a FREE Thomas Wooden Train.  So fun!

• Chuck E. Cheese: I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that the coupons that we got for signing up at Chuckecheese.com saved us about $15 when we took Griffin there on his birthday.  We even scored about 65 free tokens!

Savings from ‘Free Money’: $19.00

• Wes and I  have made around $2.00 this week from YouData.
• I’ve deposited about $2 in my Upromise since the last time I reported.
• Wes got accepted for Pinecone Research a while back and has done about 5 surveys.  He usually received his $3 check the following week!

Savings from cutting costs: $30

• Although the supplies for the fire truck birthday cake I am going to make today cost around $20, that’s still a savings of $30 for not simply purchasing one.  Plus, it’s going to be soooo much cuter…I hope!
  

TOTAL SAVINGS:$96.58

TOTAL SAVINGS THIS YEAR: $2888.55
