As you read this, I am currently in the middle of nowhere at a Snow Camp with hundreds of teenagers.  Most likely sleep deprived, cold and wet…but that’s the joy of being a Youth Pastor’s wife!  (Oh…and add having lots of FUN to that list!)

This week turned out to be a stock-up week for me since there were some hot sales.  I also needed to catch up on some grocery shopping, so I spent a bit more than normal.

Savings from coupons and store sales: $95.57.

• Spent $125.11.  Saved $95.57.

Savings from ‘Free Money’:  $2.99

• Received a $2.99 rebate from a Pepperidge Farm rebate.

Savings from cutting costs: $35.00

I would SO not classify myself as a DIYer, but I did a little spray painting this week that saved me a bunch of money!  I am switching my sons’ bedroom theme from Winnie the Pooh to Dr. Seuss.  Instead of buying an entirely new Dr. Seuss lamp, I decided use my Swag Bucks to get a lamp shade for free on Amazon.  Then I bought a can of red spray paint for $3.28 and painted the base of the old Winne the Pooh lamp.  I was pretty happy with the results!  Here’s how it turned out:

Savings from coupons and store sales: $293.12

• I spent: $51.26.
• I saved: $293.12!! (Much of this savings was due to my CVS and Rite Aid hauls.  I also scored some hot deals at Landis this week.)

Savings from ‘Free Money’: $45

• My FREE $5 Starbucks gift card showed up this week!*

• I also forgot to post last week that I received my FREE $30 Office Depot gift card* and a FREE $10 iTunes gift card from Shop It To Me. (Learn how to earn free gift cards here.)

I’m sure many of you noticed that I did not post a Cha-Ching Challenge for the past several weeks.  I just decided to take a break from deal shopping during the holidays…and it was a much needed time off!

But now I’m back and ready to get this party started again!  Who’s with me?!

Savings from coupons and store sales: $51.94

• Spent $85.10.  Saved $51.94.  (I actually spent $0 out of pocket because we were given some gift cards for Christmas.)

Savings from ‘Free Money’: $10

• Received a full sized bottle of Tide Stain Remover in the mail.  (Not sure how much this costs, but I’ll guess around $4.)

• Used some Swag Bucks to buy the boys some books on Amazon.  Saved $10.

TOTAL SAVINGS:$61.94

TOTAL SAVINGS THIS YEAR: $61.94

I’m currently scrambling to pull myself together for a weekend trip to visit some dear college friends of mine.  We try to have a reunion every few years and I’m SO excited!  (You may be familiar with one of them: Beckie from the fabulous Infarrantly Creative is hosting us!)  So I am going to take a break from posting my deals, but I’d still love to see yours!
