My brother called tonight with some great news for our local readers.  Thanks to our area Wendy’s and Lupo’s, the Spiedie Fest is free to the public on Friday, July 31st! Simply stop by any of the locations listed here and pick up your free gate pass TODAY.

Don’t know what a spiedie is?  Oh, you poor thing!  It is a local specialty and so well-loved that we have our own fest to sing its praises.  Stop by my friend Jenn’s blog to learn how to make your very own!

p.s.  While you are enjoying your free tickets to the Spiedie Fest, stop by the Hope Tent at 8:10 to hear our friends The Proxy.  They rock.  Literally.

Please eat lots of yummy spiedies marinated/cooked foods!!! It’s pretty sad that we have to have it imported from PA when we get an urge for it!

You know I love free! Too bad we always take the kiddos on Sat when hubs has the car in the car show. . .

Glad you enjoyed the Spiedie recipe~my menu plan got all switched around today, but I’ll be tossing the venison in the marinade this morning to eat later .

wow. I didn’t realize you were so close to us. We live in the Corning-Elmira area, but originally I am from the valley (about 45 miles west of Binghamton). We were going to drive up tomorrow but I have to work during the day and we wouldn’t get up there until late. I think we will just wait til next week and go to the Chemung county fair.

Welcome
