By now, it’s no secret that I heart E-Mealz. I’ve been using their menu/grocery list planning resources for over a year now and I can honestly say that it’s changed my life. I’d say it’s definitely neck and neck with sliced bread.
Gone are the days of the 5:00 stare into my cupboards, the hours spent meal planning, matching the sales, and creating my grocery list. Now I simply print my grocery list for Aldi (planned around the sales) and head to the store. Definitely the best $5 a month I’ve ever spent.
Not only that, but it’s rare that I find a recipe that I don’t like. They are simple and taste great–the perfect combination in my book.
In fact (with permission from E-Mealz) I am going to share one of my favorite recipes with you. I had never considered warm BBQ chicken with a salad before, but this is UH-mazing:
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
1/2 c. frozen corn
8 oz. bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 bag salad
2 tomatoes, chopped
1/4 small purple onion, sliced in rings
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
BBQ dressing: 1 c. BBQ sauce, (1/4 c. brown sugar, 1/4 c. honey, 1/4 c. ketchup, 2 t. butter, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. lemon pepper, 1 T. vinegar)
Combine ingredients for BBQ dressing in a saucepan. Bring to boil. Simmer for 10 min. Combine 2/3 c. sauce w/ chicken. Spread in greased square baking dish. Cover; bake @ 350 for 35 min. Five minutes before serving, toss together salad ingredients. Divide on serving plates. Top each w/ warm chicken, then w/cheese. Serve w/ remaining dressing.
My mouth is watering just thinking about this. So yummy.

I would love to try the e-mealz for 2. Often my husband (70) and I (66) fail to plan our meals in advance and wind up some nights without feeling like fixing a meal. e-mealz would eliminate that and be a good food source for us, I think.

Facebook fan 🙂 I would try either the Walmart or AnyStore option. I have looked at this program before but have not tried it out of fear my picky eaters wouldn’t like the meals. Sounds great to me tho!!
