My favorite birthday memory was hosting a surprise 55th party for my Godfather, who’s a bachelor. Since he’s a big gardener, the theme was “Wayne is older than the dirt in his garden.” Everyone brought gardening based gifts, the decorations were garden based (stuff I already had!), we ate dirt cups, fresh veggies and all kinds of other garden based items. Such a hit! He had NO idea and, three years later, he’s STILL raving about it!
