Cha-Ching challenge

Welcome to the weekly Cha-Ching Challenge!

Did you find a HOT deal this week that you just want to share?  You’ve come to the right place!  Every week I post the Cha-Ching Challenge, sharing my savings for the week.    Add a link to your post detailing your savings for the week OR your favorite deal of the week. I’ll choose one participating blog to highlight next week right here on Cha-Ching on a Shoestring.

Check out my savings for the week below:

This week was a catch-up week for us.  The past few weeks have been so full, that I hadn’t been able to do any real grocery shopping for a while.  I realized we had an issue when we had no milk, bread or eggs in the house.   So I actually took some time to SHOP this week, which included a trip to Aldi with my trusty E-Mealz menu plan and grocery list.  I also shopped the sales at Landis, Giant and CVS.

Savings from coupons and store sales: $157.64

  • Spend $158.37.  Saved $157.64 (a savings of almost 50%!)

Savings from ‘Free Money’: $42.00

  • My $10 Target gift card came in the mail for signing up for an E-Z pay subscription for my local newspaper.  (Plus the subscription is less than the newsstand price!)
  • Used some Swag Bucks to purchase a box of diapers and a box of wipes.  (Potty training is in full swing here, so hopefully this is my last purchase like this!)

TOTAL SAVINGS:$199.64

TOTAL SAVINGS THIS YEAR: $2308.99

You have every right to be overly proud! What a great kid helping out for the cause so very young and obviously doing his part and then some!

Ok. kind of off subject but I put my stuff our and our mail man didn’t even pick it up.
I was so upset I was like how dumb can you be to not even take the collection stuff with you! I took it to the post office on Monday but they did not know where to take it .

So, I will find a food pantry in need myself but hey if you put the cards in the post box then pick up the stuff cause most folks will not try to hunt you down to bring you what they have collected.

I am so glad to see that your boys are starting young! I think even a 18mo old can be taught to carry one can in while your trying to donate , if they get the idea that community service is a part of what everyone should be doing then our communities will not fail.

On top of the fact that you deserve to be a proud mama, he is adorable ta-boot!

What a great experience you have given to your boys. Learning to give is something every child can benefit from. Kudos to you!
(and they are both sweet boys)

Welcome
