Hasbro Gift Card Deal Update

November 11th, 2010 By Kaley
This post may contain affiliate links, which means I will make a small commission if you click and make a purchase.

Kat left a comment on the Facebook wall that the Hasbro Gift Card deal has ended and tonight Shannon confirmed that she spoke with TRU by phone and they have decided to end the gift card deal early.

I am disappointed and surprised by this since it was posted in their weekly ad, but apparently the ad stated “While supplies last.”

The Hasbro rebate is still valid and so you can still score some very cheap games this week.  But unfortunately the deal is not quite as sweet.

You can always give your local store a call just to be sure, but that’s the word on the street!

Announcing THE BIG GIVE: Cha-Ching Style! (Plus $50 Amazon Gift Code Giveaway!)

THE BIG GIVE

I am so excited to share this news with you all!

Every once in a while, I get a really good idea. I think this is one of those times. 🙂

Several weeks ago, I was suddenly hit with this really good idea while going about my normal everyday existence.  Considering the way my brain works, ideas tend to pop in and out of it all day long.  But this time was different…I knew this was a REALLY good idea and I’ve been contemplating it and planning for it ever since.

With Thanksgiving at the end of the month, I know that many families are not going to be able to celebrate the way that they would like.  So many are struggling financially right now and the idea of spending extra money on anything just isn’t possible.

That’s why I am so excited to announce THE BIG GIVE!

As you may know, I offer many giveaways on this site.  I cannot think of a better reason to hold a giveaway than as a way to promote the cause of GIVING.

So in the next two weeks, I am asking you to consider how you can give to someone  or a cause in need.   Gather together the best of your stockpile or even consider making a special trip to put together a bag of  food that will complete someone’s Thanksgiving table.

*IMPORTANT:  In order to enter, you need to take a picture of what you have given!

Beginning next Tuesday, November 16, I am going to put up a giveaway post that will allow you to upload your picture in the comments section. On Tuesday, November 23, I will randomly choose a winner from the pictures that are entered.  The winner will receive a $50 Amazon Gift Code!

So I encourage you to get planning, shopping, and sharing–after you take a picture of course!  (I have a FUN idea for my Big Give which may or may not involve secretly leaving all the trimmings for a Thanksgiving dinner on someone’s door step!  Picture me rubbing my little hands together with great delight!)

Then come back next week and share your pic so we can all celebrate our BIG GIVE together!

I wanted to let you know that Synovate Opinion Panel will be closing to new applicants soon.  If you haven’t signed up yet, this may be your last chance for a while. Synovate allows you the opportunity to:
  • Help companies improve everyday services, products, and household items
  • Be the first to test new consumer goods
  • Help design new products before they appear on store shelves nationwide

With Synovate, you’ll earn points that you can redeem for cash once you reach a specified threshold.  The amount earned will depend on the number of surveys for which you qualify.  (Some have shared that they earned as much as $10 per month, and others have earned around $20 in a year.)

One of the exciting aspects of Synovate is that many people are also chosen to do product tests for items such as shampoo, conditioner, dog treats, toilet paper and more.   If that sounds like something you’d enjoy,  sign up here!

Another great thing about Synovate? Their minimum payout is only $5, so you can start earning quickly. Signup now!
