I read this article from CBS Money Watch this morning and couldn’t wait to get your opinions on it!
Here’s the topic: Do you think it’s Ok for your date to use a coupon to help pay for your meal on your first date?
I am definitely on the fence with this one. I love using coupons on dates with my husband now. But if he had whipped out a Buy One Get One Free coupon on our first date, I think I would have felt a little funny. I’d have wondered if he was too cheap to throw a few extra bucks out on a girl like me. Dating should be a fun easy thing though. But I know that so many people worry about so many things when it comes to dating, particularly their first date. People worry about things like what if they aren’t who they say they are? And then they’ll go on sites that can help find people, just so they know that they are the real deal. Others worry about what should they wear, will the person like them, who should pay for what? There’s a lot at stake when it comes to the first date.

Although, always remember when on a date and you notice that your values aren’t in line, take it from the experts at DatingPilot and instead look for someone that shares your views of the world. While different opinions are important, certain views just don’t fit together, and this might just be one of them.
However, if he used a coupon but also brought me flowers then that might be another story. (Which he did by the way–the flowers, not the coupon!)
