Cha-Ching challenge

Welcome to the weekly Cha-Ching Challenge!

Did you find a HOT deal this week that you just want to share?  You’ve come to the right place!  Every week I post the Cha-Ching Challenge, sharing my savings for the week.    Add a link to your post detailing your savings for the week OR your favorite deal of the week. I’ll choose one participating blog to highlight next week right here on Cha-Ching on a Shoestring.

Check out my savings for the week below:

After last week’s true confessions, I was happy to start to jump back into the couponing game this week.  Thanks so much for all of you who shared kind words with me as I shared some of my discouragement with spending more money over the summer.  It’s important to me that I encourage you all to not allow coupons and ECB deals to take precedence over what truly matters: making the most of the time that we have.  So, thanks for reminding me that coupons can wait, but making memories can’t!

Savings from coupons and store sales: $95.49

  • Spent $74.12 at Landis, Giant and CVS.  Saved $95.49.

Savings from ‘Free Money’: $81.90

  • I made $0.10 this week from YouData.  (Hey–every penny counts!)
  • Thanks to a special referral promotion from Ebates, I received a check for $80 this week.
  • Saved $1.80 with gas rewards at Landis.

Savings from creativity: $200

  • Thanks to my cousin Megan’s savvy decorating skills, I can’t even calculate how much money she helped me save on making over my office.  I’m sure I could have easily spent hundreds more dollars, but her ability to find ways to use what we have and make a room shine with a small budget was amazing!

TOTAL SAVINGS:$377.39

TOTAL SAVINGS THIS YEAR: $3074.80

That’s a whole lot of savings!

It is easy to get frustrated with spending money, when you are used to saving, but it is also important to prioritize.

BTW, have ever tried Superpoints and Instant Cash Sweepstakes?I earn about a $5 gift card every week from Superpoints and $2+ at ICS. I love these two sites because they pay fast, and they sure pay better than YouData. I completelys topped using YD.

If you are interested, you can find guides under my Earning Money Online tab in the top navigation bar on FIF.

I would like to invite you to link up your savings at the Weekly Savings Linky @ Frugality Is Free .

Congrats for getting back in the coupon game Kaley. 🙂

Thank you so much for posting your YouData payment. I thought I was the only one making such little from them because nobody else seems to mention it.
