31 days cash

Welcome to Day 18 of our 31 Days to Earn Extra Cash Online series!  Check out the rest of the series here.

Today’s site: Nielsen Home Scan Consumer Panel (now accepting applicants)

How to Earn:

As a panel member, the National Consumer Panel will provide you with a hand-held scanner. Every time you or members of your household shop, you’ll use the scanner to scan the barcodes on all of your purchases.  No landline required.

Then, once a week, you’ll send them your purchase information.  By doing so, you will earn points as well as entries into the Monthly and Quarterly Sweepstakes where you can win a $500 American Express Rewards Card.

What You Can Earn:

Earn points, which are redeemable for electronics, household items, jewelry, toys, gift cards, and more.

Tips:

  • We actually received a scanner a while back and ended up sending it back.   We had just moved and I didn’t feel I had the time to devote to it at that time.  The nice part is that it was easy to send back and Nielsen paid the return shipping.

We also signed up and received our scanner. When we saw how much work this really requires (literally scanning every purchase, then entering price, promotions and coupons) and how long it would take to earn any significant rewards, we promptly sent it back. It was an easy return process though.

Welcome
