I hit up some deals at CVS today and it felt good to be back! It’s been a few months since I’ve been able to get into any kind of coupon shopping groove with the holidays – can anyone else relate?
And to top it all off, they had a nice selection of Christmas gifts, decor and wrapping supplies marked 75% off. I had to hold myself back from buying stuff like singing Snoopy’s just because they were such a good price. 🙂
Yes – we still have our tree up. I’m sentimental like that. 🙂
But I grabbed some gift tags marked down to $0.75, the Sofia dress up activity kit for just $4.99 (for the gift closet!) and the Peppermint Bark for $2.49 (a Valentine’s gift – IF it survives that long!)
Here’s my deal scenario:
CVS Week of 1/4/15:
Buy (1) Sundown Adult Multivitamin Gummes – $7 (Get $3 ECB’s)
Buy (3) Gift Tags (8 ct.) – $0.75 ea.
Buy (1) Sofia Dress Up Activity Kit – $4.99
Buy Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark – $2.49
Use $3/1 Sundown Naturals coupon from RP 1/4
Use $6 in ECB’s (I had $4 and $2 printed as quarterly rewards)
$7.90 after coupons and ECB’s!
So in total, I spent $7.90 on $43.11 worth of products and I have $3 in ECB’s for next week’s trip!

Way to go! I just got back from my shopping trips. I also grabbed those vitamins and hit up the clearance section. I snagged 6 pairs of slippers for $1.75 each. These will be gifts for my daughter’s friends next year. Passing up that Snoopy was so hard for me too 🙂

Haha! Good job passing up on the singing Snoopy, Janice. I realized it would be cool for approximately 10 minutes and then I’d be ready to get rid of it anyway:)
