I almost always check my receipts before I leave CVS. There have been several times that I’ve discovered a pricing error or a missing coupon and I’ve dealt with it before leaving the store.
Today I checked my receipt for a different reason, however – I couldn’t believe how little I paid! I had intended to just grab the toothpaste and Glade air fresheners, but the M&M’s called my name when I saw they had a coupon on them to save $1 off 2. So, of course, I had to buy them! So I didn’t really do the math before I got up to the counter – and I was pleasantly surprised when my total popped up.
Here’s my deal scenario:
CVS Week of 3/15:
Buy (2) M&M Eggs – $2.50 ea. – Get $1 ECB’s
Buy (2) Glade Sense & Spray – $5 ea. – Get $3 ECB’s
Buy (2) Colgate Toothpaste – $2.99 ea. – Get $3 ECB’s
Use (1) $1.50 off $5 Glade purchase coupon from CVS printer
Use (2) $1/1 Colgate coupons
Use $1/2 M&M’s peelie coupon
Use (2) $3/1 Glade coupons from SS 3/8
Use $8 ECB’s
$2.51 after coupons and ECB’s!
So in total, I spent $2.51 on $39.37 worth of products and I have $7 in ECB’s for my next trip!
