My brother called tonight with some great news for our local readers.  Thanks to our area Wendy’s and Lupo’s, the Spiedie Fest is free to the public on Friday, July 31st! Simply stop by any of the locations listed here and pick up your free gate pass TODAY.

Don’t know what a spiedie is?  Oh, you poor thing!  It is a local specialty and so well-loved that we have our own fest to sing its praises.  Stop by my friend Jenn’s blog to learn how to make your very own!

p.s.  While you are enjoying your free tickets to the Spiedie Fest, stop by the Hope Tent at 8:10 to hear our friends The Proxy.  They rock.  Literally.

The Next Step in our Journey

foot_steps

I’ve been looking forward to writing this post for a long time.  I’ve even formulated it in my head a few times in hopes that this day was coming.  And now it’s here.

I am so happy to share with you that this week Wes accepted a job as youth pastor at Grace Bible Church of Souderton, PA.

Oh wow.  That was fun to write!

We are so excited about this next step in our journey.  Little did we know when Wes lost his job last year that it would be almost a year and a half before we knew what the next step in our lives would be.

It hasn’t been easy, but it has been good.  In fact, this blog is a direct result of Wes being laid off.  I’d definitely say that’s good!

But now, we are ready for the next step in our adventure.  Plus all those other emotions that accompany a big change in your life.  Nervous.  Sad.  Overwhelmed.  Sentimental.  But mostly excited.

And, have no fear.  Although our circumstances are changing, the blog will continue.  We are moving to an area where the cost of living is MUCH higher than where we live now.   Living large on a limited budget will continue to be our motto!

If you’d like learn more about our journey to this point, feel free to check out my other blog here.

Now, any tips on moving on a limited budget?  I’ll take all the help I can get!

Upromise.com

In case you need another reason to sign up for a  Upromise account, I’ve got one for you!  (Don’t forget to use code SNYDERS3 when you sign up.)

Reports are coming in that the PhotoStamps moneymaker is working at Walgreens.

To make this deal even sweeter, when you use the code from the kit to do a PhotoStamps transaction, sign in through Upromise.  (Simply go to Upromise and type in PhotoStamps in the search box.)  You will receive $8 for each transaction!

PLUS… if you purchase the kit on Friday, July 31, why not see if you can use this 15% off Walgreens coupon?  It says it is for qualifying purchases, but I say it’s worth a try!

Now if I can just get to Walgreens, my life would be complete.

Not familiar with Upromise?  Read more here.
