Did you find a HOT deal this week that you just want to share?  You’ve come to the right place!  Every week I post the Cha-Ching Challenge, sharing my savings for the week.    Add a link to your post detailing your savings for the week OR your favorite deal of the week. I’ll choose one participating blog to highlight next week right here on Cha-Ching on a Shoestring.

Add your links to Mr. Linky at any time.  In order to be considered for the Cha-Ching Challenge Highlight, just be sure to add your link no later than Tuesday at midnight EST.

Check out my savings for the week below:

Savings from coupons and store sales: $6.00

  • After last week’s $10 Challenge, I needed a break from shopping for a week!  So I only hit CVS for the Post Trail Mix moneymaker. (Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my ECBs with me, so I had to pay out of pocket.  Oh well.)  It was nice to take a break from shopping for the week, I have to admit!

    Savings from ‘Free Money’: $2.69

    • Wes and I made around $.69 this week from YouData–are you all checking your accounts?
    • Made $2 in my Upromise account from the Post Trail Mix deal above–my Mother in Law is signed up in our Upromise account did the deal too!

    Savings from cutting costs: $6

    • We’ve been enjoying lettuce from our little garden this week!  It really is yummy…and so fun to step outside our door to ‘shop’ for dinner.  Can’t wait for the tomatoes!

    TOTAL SAVINGS:$14.69

    TOTAL SAVINGS THIS YEAR: $2192.05

The first time I heard of this was when my friend Beckie shared pictures of the elaborate costumes she and her husband wore last year for free food.  I would gladly humiliate myself dress like a cow for free food any day!

When I was at my Walmart last week, I discovered that Eggo Bake Shop products were on sale for $1.50 (prices vary by region).

Update:  Looks like Target is the place to buy these Eggo Bake Shop products.  They are still on sale for $1.50 a box.  You will definitely want to check out my post on how to make this into a moneymaker as well!

Print out these $1/1 coupons here and here and you can score some for $.50.   You should be able to print two of each per computer!

I know these were on sale at Target last week for $1.50 as well.  Does anyone know if they are still on sale?

    chiquita-bites

I just found an additional way to add $1 into your Upromise account for free!

Hurry and print this coupon for a FREE Single Pack of Chiquita Fruit Bites.  (If you have difficulty printing it like I did, see if someone else can print it for you.  I asked my Mom!)  It’s likely to go quickly since FREE is good!

Then be sure to use the coupon at a store that has a loyalty card that is signed up in your Upromise account.  This month there is an eCoupon for $1 when you purchase (1) package of Chiquita Bites Singles.

Note:  The word is that you can print two of these coupons, however it may require starting from the beginning, rather than hitting the back browser.

Want to make your money go even further?  Ask friends and relatives to sign up under your account.  You’ll get an additional dollar for each one that activates their eCoupons and takes advantage of this Chiquita Bites coupon!

Target: Moneymaker on Degree Body Mist

    July 6th, 2009 By Kaley
This post may contain affiliate links, which means I will make a small commission if you click and make a purchase.

degree-body-mistLast week, I was able to purchase Degree Body Mist at Target for only $.04.  I was pretty excited about that, until I discovered this deal at Saving with Shellie where you can actually make $1.96 by buying Degree deodorant and body mist!  Check it out:

Degree for Women Fine Fragrances Deodorant, $3.29
-Use $1.25/1 Degree coupon (RP 5/17) AND
-Use Buy Deodorant Get Body Mist Free coupon (RP 6/28) AND
-Use (2) $2/1 Target printable coupons HERE
Final Price = FREE Deodorant and Body Mist (+ $1.96 possible overage)

    WOW!

Keep in mind that some Targets may not allow overage.  If not, you can ask if they will lower the value of the coupon, which is endorsed by Target’s corporate coupon policy.  You may want to print out a copy of Target’s coupon policy to take with you just in case.  You can find one here.

Check out the rest of this week’s Target Deals here!
