Have I ever shared about my love for Aldi? If not, shame on me. Let me take a few minutes now to share why I love that little place so much.
Here are a few highlights of my shopping trip today;
Bananas, $.39/lb.
Grapes, $1.79/lb.
Loaves of 12 Grain Bread (yummy!), $.75
Buttermilk Biscuits, $.38
Caesar Salad Mix, $.75
4 packs of Applesauce, $.99
Hot Dog Buns, $.85
Note: Some of these sales were clearance prices, so may not be national.
If you live near an Aldi and haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend it. You may be surprised by the lack of name brand products and the fact that they do not accept coupons, but that’s just what I love about it. I can get two weeks of shopping done in about half an hour because I do not have to compare prices or hunt for coupons.
Not to mention, I ended up walking out of the store paying only $65.85 for my groceries that should get me through the next two weeks.
I love that.
And since I had my Aldi E-Mealz plan in hand, I was like a shopping ninja today (other than the fact that my four year old likes to play hide ‘n seek amidst the cans of soup and I thought I had lost him for a few minutes…ahem).
I do still shop at other stores for their deals. I stopped at Landis to score my FREE Lunchables, FREE Marcal tissues, and $.50 Bagel Bites on the way to Aldi. But I have discovered that Aldi is the place for me. I love it.
Just be sure to take along a quarter and a few reusable shopping bags when you go. If you don’t know why, feel free to ask. I’ll fill you in.
(By the way, if you are from Texas, are you aware that Aldi has taken on Texas now? Click here to see if there is a location near you.)
